The Island

It was very amusing, only slightly disturbing. The opposite of Beyond Borders. There is no question we are heading towards cloning sooner rather than later. We are too lazy to live like we should, and too arrogant to accept life as it comes to us. The Island was a wild movie, felt like 4 hrs. 1.5 hours of chit chat and white, 1.5 hours of absolute mayhem and fight, and then a bonus hour with a fine mixture of explanation and destruction. Seeing it on the big screen with the blaring soundtrack somehow made it all better. So did Scarlett of course who was quite tough in this film, yet somehow oh so woman. I can't stop smiling after seeing it and I'm not really sure why. I'm seriously concerned it might have been the potty stop after the movie that was the bliss. Well, all said, I have to wonder how the clone had so much more character and integrity than the real person. The clone risked its life to save his friends, or classmates or whatever they were, while the real Lincoln would have paid for or sold his soul to save his neck. What would you do?
