Catastrophe

I hear people all the time complaining about the way things are. I hear myself do it. But great tragedy reminds us of what it really means to suffer, to be disadvantaged. So many displaced, resourceless people in Louisiana and Missippi, Alabama, and Florida. For some of them life is truly awful right now but, at least they survived. Life will be very hard for them for some time, but they lived and havethe opportunity to experience a fuller life. So as we justafiably grumble about $3/gallon for gas, in our hearts we know there are people in great want of water, housing, creature comforts. And we will pray that the remainder of hurricane season is a merciful one.
