Epcot

Did I mention my Orlando Vacation yet?

I toured Kennedy Space Center, spent a day at Epcot, went to Sea World, and closed it all out with a night at La Nubia. The cirque du sole (sp) in Orlando. I had a fantastic time with a beautiful lady.

The Kennedy Space Center had some cute shows and exhibits. The best part is the bus tour. Driving right up to the launh pad and seeing the crawlers was like being a kid in the land of giant things. They are working and a few years from completing a space station sponsored by several nations. You could watch them work on some of teh modules that will be attached to teh station and some of the pods that carry supplies to and trash from the station.

We stayed at Wyndham Resorts, hit the hot tub every night, and enjoyed different foods and festivities in the evenings.

I haven't been to Epcot since I was a little boy. Most of the rides are motion movies which make me ill. So i took dramamine which made me sleepy ;) May have dulled the experience a bit. They were having a food and wine festival so each country had a stand for wine and foods.

The mission to mars ride was cool, the car driving one was lame. All the shows in the countries were excellent.

The human body was closed, bummer. The night show was well done but a notch below seaworld.

Seaworld has some new shows. The walrus show, the dolphin show. and they were really entertaining. Then I left and went to La Nubia.

The show is just amazing. Constant activity and motion. A big story surrounded by little stories. Main characters surround and mingle in with talent groups. Bike riders, high ropes, trapeze, trampoliners, and maid who kisses a toad who becomes a prince. More than worth the price of admission.

Post Wilma update

The good news is, I have power at my house, came back on Wednesday night. Cable and internet too.

I enjoyed the change of pace though. Hanging out with neighbors, no tv. I felt more connected and alive w/out the tv, like the tv has some power over me ;)

I rode my bike to work, andI'll do it again Friday. That was pleasant and needed, no ultimate in weeks and too much food. I'm feeling gross.

No power at work except for generators that run the computers. Its pretty hot.

Curfew was moved from 7 to 9pm. Gas lines are crazy. People are lined up for miles and hours to get gas. I suspect in a few days that should settle down.
