I was about 10mins late to work this morning. I was practicing tying my tie. Double windsor. New one for me, and i was working on the little "shortcut". Took me an extra 20 mins. Something very peaceful and enjoyable about it though.

Several people have mentioned they didjn't recognize me ove rthe past few weeks. Because they last time they saw me I was less hairy. Interesting how big a differenc eit makes. But looking at recent pictures of Brad Pitt, he looks like his hair is taking over his face. I just have the usual gotee. But the hair on my head makes a significant difference I guess. I do like my new haircut also. I'd let my hair grow out quite a bit, but it looks better trimmed. To me anyway.

In between ties and haircuts is the little stuff, like connecting with people, growing as a person, discovery, breakdowns, and breakthroughs. I revisited an old conversation about "going to someone else's island" this weekend. It was a great reminder. And I'm still working on my presentation. I can be so analytical at times that I lack feeling.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to grow. To experience life fully.
